Hello, we are going to start the club championship on Feb 21st. We started a sign up sheet last night. You need to email me if you are not on the sign up sheet. I will also need your phone number! You will receive a list of the other players numbers and emails with the format and ground rules. We will keep a weekly tournament results sheet and post them on the informational boards and the pairings of the tournament. It is your responsibility to play your schedule game on Thursday nights or make arrangements with the other player that week.  The cost is $10 and you will at least play 3 games before eliminations occur.

The 4th Thursday (28th) we have scheduled the Central Chess Club of Milford to come and play us. Remember those that help out at the club will have a chance to play. There are many opportunities to help out. The officers will direct you to help need areas. 

We want to welcome Rich Palermo to our club. He was a house player in the 3rd Thursday Ladder Tournament and travel to Milford and played for the Newark Knights. He is enthusiastic and learning a lot. He helps out setting up.

We have 3 winners for the 3rd Thursday of the month Ladder Challenge Tournament. We also had three players that won perfect attendance prizes. We also are diligent in paying our entrance fees ($5) I know who you are so pay up this Thursday,  Please; petty please!!                                         Rick
